We had our 4th and final Teach the Teacher hike at the Brainard Lake Recreation Area (BLRA) on Sunday September 16th, 2018. Three students from UNC were able to attend and we hiked up to Lake Isabelle. It was a beautiful day, the students got a lot out of the hike, and now we are officially done with the hiking portion of this pilot program this year!
Daryl Ogden did an excellent job, as always, in pulling together content for the hike and relating the importance of natural biodiversity to public land issues and the importance of wilderness preservation. Keep an eye out for the summary report of the program pilot year coming out soon!
