Trail Conditions Report

Trail conditions are reported by U.S Forest Service volunteers on patrol hikes in the James Peak and Indian Peaks Wilderness Areas. Please consider supporting our organization with a donation or join us as a volunteer next season

Volunteers patrol during the summer season, which runs from early June through the end of September, as well as during the winter season which runs from mid to late November through the end of May. Note that our volunteers do not patrol between October - mid-late November so trail conditions are not posted during that timeframe.

Visit the USFS Boulder Ranger District page for alerts, trail closures, road status, permits, etc.

Hiking, climbing, and many outdoor activities can be dangerous and can result in injury. Additionally, trail conditions may change from day-to-day and even hour-to-hour.
